American 8-ball · House rules
- Drag sideways or click a ball to aim. Click the table or Set Power to lock aim, adjust power, then shoot. Press Escape or Adjust Aim to cancel. Clear your group before potting the 8 on a separate shot.
- The table stays open after the break. On a later legal shot, claim the first-contact group if potted; otherwise claim the first potted group. Pot your own group to keep the turn.
- A break must pot an object ball or send four different object balls to cushions. An illegal break reracks for the opponent. The 8 is respotted on a legal break.
- A scratch, wrong first contact, or no contact is a foul. After contact, a ball must reach a cushion or an object ball must be potted. Ordinary fouls give ball in hand anywhere; break fouls restrict placement behind the head string.
- Potting the 8 early, or on a foul, loses the rack. Clearing your last group ball and the 8 in the same shot also loses.
- Accessible Pool house rules: no called pockets, kitchen direction restrictions, shot clock, or three-consecutive-foul penalties. Spin is not included in this version.
