How to Play Snake Classic

Snake Classic is an arcade game of reflexes, spatial planning, and careful maneuvering.

  1. Steer your snake: Use the Arrow keys, WASD, touch swipe gestures, or the on-screen D-Pad to turn up, down, left, or right.
  2. Eat apples: Every red apple awards 10 points, adds one segment to your body, and increases your crawling speed.
  3. Avoid collisions: Never run into your own body! In Wrap mode, traveling off the screen wraps you to the opposite side.

Snake Pro Tips

Circle the Perimeter

When your snake grows long, hug the edges of the board to maximize open space in the middle.

Use Turn Buffering

You can press two turns in rapid succession (e.g., Up then Left) to snake through tight 1-block corridors safely.

Leave an Escape Route

Never plunge headfirst into a closed loop without an opening, as your tail will trap you before it moves away!
